Gamification is in full swing and many of my clients are either using gamification or architecting their gamification strategies. Corporations are seeing that the human mind strives to achieve more, compete and earn honor, respect, awards, and gratitude from accomplishing tasks and activities correctly. Gamification has been tested sociologically both in the military by giving honors, medals and promotions regardless of large salaries. At a corporate level, the same psychological mindset applies to gamification. Individuals ranging from retail associates, customer service representatives, I.T support and even into news and publishing media are engaging their employees through game mechanics.
